The Science Citation Index of Web of Science at USC Libraries e-resources is back till 1900!

I am pleased to announce that the Science Citation Index of Web of Science at USC Libraries e-resources is back till 1900! It means when searching the web of science, you can search the database from the the beginning of it. Please go ahead and give a try, and I believe you will enjoy your information research more than before.

The new chat services are Monday 7 -9 pm and Wednesday 6 - 8pm.

SPIE Digital Library goes live in the E-Resources!

I am pleased to announce that SPIE Digital Library (the e-collection of SPIE journals and conference proceedings) is now live in the E-resources!

The new addition is the SPIE proceedings collection. The SPIE proceedings collection goes back to 1990 “beginning with Volume 1200 with more than 17,000 new research papers added annually”, and current issues access starting two weeks after a conference. For more information, please check the e-resources.

I am pleased to announce that ENGnetBASE is now in the E-resources at USC Libraries!

ENGnetBASE is an electronic references collection published and developed by CRC press. Here are highlights of this E-reference database.

  • over 700 titles of engineering handbooks and references
  • coverage of all engineering disciplines, including aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and engineering management
  • user-friendly search interface and easy access to important engineering information

New service from Ask_A_Librarian: USC subject-based chat reference

Hey, have you ever been too shy to ask me (your librarian) questions, any kinds of questions? Did you every use the Ask_A_Librarian service at USC Libraries?

Now Ask_A_Librarian launched a new services, USC subject-based chat reference. USC librarians are going to provide the USC localized, subject based chat reference to you. You will get more “personalized” and “institutional specialized” services from us. All you need to do is very simple:

Go to the Ask_A_Librarian page, enter your name and usc email, and then chat!

Currently the USC Science and Engineering chat reference hours are

Monday 10 - 11

Wednesday 10 - 11

or by appointment (email ahead for an appointment) .
